Situated in the Minervois, a seductive region in the west of France’s Languedoc, tucked in between the medieval city of Carcassonne, the Black Mountains and the Canal du Midi, the family-owned Château St Jacques d’Albas benefits from a wealth of natural advantages to produce impressive wines.
Over 60 hectares of forest and garrigue, teaming with wildlife, and an 11th century chapel, protect the 26 hectares of vines. Our philosophy from the beginning has been to limit yields and take an organic approach to managing the soil and the vines.
3 self-catering "gites", with access to a large pool and tennis court are available to rent, by the week during summer and for shorter periods outside high season. Being away from any major roads or conurbation, they offer peace and quiet for families. Dogs are welcome.
The Ancient Mill (120m²) - 6 pers :
Accommodation comprises a large living room with fitted kitchen area, plus a small room with fireplace in the mill tower. Two double bedrooms and two beds on the mezzanine area. Bathroom and separate WC.
Outside there is a garden, a terrace of 56m² and a barbecue.
