The French Country Cottage , Les Chouttes, is just that except it is warm, cozy and charming too
Jon & I recently spent 4 days at this delightful country retreat! Quiet & peaceful, it truly is home from home with every comfort from heated towel rails, comfy furnishings to warm cozy duvets! It is tastefully decorated and Karen , your hostess, has thought of EVERYTHING! There are bikes to ride, a swimming pool for summer and a volleyball net.
it is a 15-20min walk into Le Tremolat where you will find from Pizza to Fine dining! sightseeing in the area is breathtaking and find out if max will be available from the Duck & Truffle for a wine tour or 2. Definately needs a spot on your bucket list!

We spent a wonderful week in the barn
The barn has been expanded to a modern, high standard and furnished with great taste. The two of us had more than enough space, also on the terrace with a wonderful view of an orchard. The stored photos give a realistic impression of the barn. The property is very quiet just outside of Trémolat, the local very good restaurants are within walking distance in 15 minutes. All in all we had a wonderful time, we highly recommend the accommodation. The contact before and after the booking was also very friendly and binding, and there were very useful gifts ready for us to give us a boost. We would like to come again!

A perfect French cottage
Les Chouettes is a charming truly French cottage. It was very comfortable and well equipped. The location is perfect for making day trips to many of the beautiful villages and historic sites in the Dordogne and other areas of the Perigord. The owner and the property manager were very accommodating. I would highly recommend this property for your vacation in the Dordogne

The Jewel of the Dordogne
From the first time we heard of this beautiful place to the sad day that we had to leave we were mesmerized by this absolutely stunning part of the world.
The cottage and the barn allowed us to move in and live as if we were at home with everything you would need and more.
Wonderful evenings by the fireplace and early morning jogs made the stay special and we will definitely be back in the future!!
Thank you Karen for such an incredible holiday. You made it very special for us.

Not the first time visiting Le Chouette, and certainly won’t be the last.

Relaxing country stay
The property is lovely, very clean and exactly as described. Located in a great area to explore surrounding towns, restaurants and markets. We stayed with our dog who had a great time. Karen is a very attentive and fun host. Thank you!

Lovely Spring break
Really nice property for a relaxing break away from it all for a family of four. The weather was much warmer than expected so on reflection we maybe should have considered a property with a larger pool; however the property was spacious and well appointed making us feel very relaxed. Some gorgeous villages in and around the area. As well as Tremolat itself, Limeuil was gorgeous and a nice lunch under the trees overlooking the Dordogne in Mauzac was a highlight too! Karen was super helpful too whenever we had any questions ….thank you!

lovely barn conversion in a beautiful and peaceful location
The property is well equipped and very easy to stay in in. Location is excellent: only a 15 - 20 minute walk into Tremolat, which is just enough to build up an appetite when you walk in to get your morning baguette and croissants. A couple of good restaurants in the village and others in the area. Lovely clear skies.
We had a fantastic two weeks.
