‘La Fleuriais’ enjoys a well-equipped farmhouse kitchen/diner with views to front and rear. The sitting room has a wood-burning stove in traditional granite fireplace, there’s also a TV, DVD, CD player, Telephone, Satellite TV. You’ll find a W.C on the ground floor. Dining seating for 6, Lounge seating for 6.
The first floor has 2 double bedrooms (1 with double bed, 1 with 2 x singles) and bathroom with bath.
Outdoors there is a private garden & BBQ.
The cottage is one mile from Chérencé le Roussel which has a store/bar and boulangerie, and 5 miles from Brécey with large supermarket and shops. A plethora of fine eateries is at hand, from gourmet restaurants to brasseries and pizzerias.
Situated between Avranches and Vire, and just 30 miles from the magnificent Le Mont St. Michel, La Fleuriais is ideally placed to explore 1,000 years of European history, from the walled city of Falaise (birthplace of William the Conqueror) to the landing beaches of Operation Overlord of WW2. All this culture can be imbibed with a glass or two of Calvados (local apple brandy - try it on fruit salad!) and a galette (savoury pancake).Impressive, yet safe sandy beaches are a little further afield: 40 mins uncongested drive to Joulouville.
