Home and Garden in a Peaceful Hamlet with Access to Colorful Minervois
I lived in this house for 10 weeks, and it was a wonderful and peaceful experience! It is freshly renovated and cozy and during the summer the sun does not hit the front directly and it stays generally cool inside. The garden is beautiful and the view is mesmerizing - colors change constantly during evenings. Held a garden party and everyone loved the setting. Babio is a quiet hamlet with about 30 residents - local and international; young and old. There is a winery 20 meters up the road, and there are a few other wineries within a 10 minute drive. Within a 15 minute drive there are supermarkets, boulangeries, an amazing organic wine store, restaurants and the ancient beautiful city of Minerve. The Canal du Midi is about 25 minutes away. There is plenty to see in the region, and Babio is family friendly - judging from residents' children who visit for weeks each year. Starlink Wifi is great. Plenty of nearby hikes through vineyards and villages. Owners John and Melanie are very helpful, informative and welcoming. Highly Recommended!

A Family Weeks Holiday
My family and granddaughter spent a glorious weeks holiday in Babio. A French rural retreat set in a small village, overlooking beautiful countryside and vineyards. You can buy the wine from these vineyards in the village and it is delicious 😋. The house has been tastefully and beautifully restored whilst retaining original features. It is very comfortable. The garden, across a country road from the house, in true French style has far reaching views and designed for maximum enjoyment, including a pool and soon to be outside kitchen, making it the perfect setting for alfresco dining. There are many medieval villages, and rivers nearby to explore, while a vast Sandy beach is approximately an hours drive away. Local shops are approximately 10 mins drive providing all your daily needs.
