Built in 1668, this 17th Cenutry Normandy Long House has been beautifully renovated whilst keeping a large amount of its original features such as the large stone fire places which can be found throughout. Set within 15 acres of rolling hills and acres of surrounding farm land, Le Maupas is a peaceful and relaxing place to experience the Normandy countryside at its best.
There are 3 rooms available at our lovely Normany Bed and Breakfast, two doubles and one twin. All the rooms are bright and airy, have ensuite shower rooms and windows that look out over the gardens. The guest lounge has tea and coffee making facilities and English Tv with DVD player, the perfect place to sit and relax at any time of the day. The original stone fire place
Will keep the room warm and cosy during the cooler months. Another stone fireplace can also be found in the dining room. WIFI is available throughout.
With the Normandy Landing Beaches only an hours drive away, why not take a trip to one of the many museums and sights that have been preserved for all to see. Your journey there will take you through some beautiful scenery with the peaceful environment that surrounds Le Maupas here waiting for you at the end of the day. With its delightful cafes and bars that offer some fantastic lunches and evening meals our small nearby town of Villedieu les Poeles will offer you an insight into the famous foundry, our race course for the areas much loved sport of trotting racing. Visit the famous waterfalls of Mortain, perfect to enjoy a picnic on a sunny day and take in the scenic views and peaceful walks. We also have a nearby Zoo and there are local beaches just a short 20 minute drive from Le Maupas that offer stretches of beautiful sandy beaches and gentle seas.
