17 Century Holiday Farmhouse with Private Pool in Issac, Dordogne, France Reviews

A wonderful week away. The property is stunning and has an open and relaxed feel about it. The children spent hours in the pool ( 9 and 12 yrs) and if they weren't in it, they were talking about when they would get back to it. The view is beautiful and adds to the relaxed atmosphere. Sarah and Graham are lovely and the welcome hamper was such a treat. The weather was dodgy for a few days but just arranged the week accordingly.

I agree with the earlier review, it is a perfect break for families. Would love to go back again!

Stones throw away if needed & where very lovely & helpful . A car is defiantly needed as a little far out but it was lovely to just have a week chilling by the pool . We would totally recommend the farmhouse to anyone who wants a very chilled ,lazy time in amazing surroundings , we will be recommending mason de Nicola 100% .

This is a beautiful farmhouse that has been renovated with great love, care and attention to detail. Loads of room inside and out for the 6 of us. Wonderfully peaceful (saw a deer from our bedroom window one morning) but only ten minutes from Mussidan for food shopping. Bergerac a little further but a doddle from the airport. Wouldn't change a thing - has everything you need and more, welcome basket amazing. This is a quality property - probably the best we've stayed in over many years of gite rentals in France. Would recommend without hesitation.

The house was great for our holiday with two separate living areas, swimming pool and within 20 minutes driving of a village with large grocery stores, etc. Graham and his wife were great hosts and responded promptly to all of our requests before and during our stay. We hope to return again for our next holiday.

3 couples after a quiet retreat - Maison De Nicola was everything we wanted it to be and more. From the moment we arrived the place felt like home. We were greated with an exceptionally warm welcome and immediately felt like our holiday had begun. A 'starter pack' of meats, cheeses, wines and bread were chilling in fridge so that we wouldnt have to venture far for dinner having arrived late into the evening- an extra special touch which has left a lasting impression.

The house was spotless and had everything we could want - tv , music station, 2 lounges for when you wanted peace and quiet, vast fridge and freezer, pool and countless dvds and music!

The pool was spotless and we enjoyed several days lounging by the pool taking in the spectacular views. Evenings were spent cooking and eating out on the terrace in the warm everning sun, which again looked out onto the forests below and beyond.

Truly beautiful property, great setting and owners couldn't be nicer. The children (4 and 7) loved the gardens, wildlife and most of all the pool, they even finisher their meals at the restaurant in Isaac. The other reviews say it all.

Just returned from a fantastic 2 weeks holiday at MAISON DE NICOLA, we are a family with 3 young boys who loved the gardens, pool and wildlife.The house & grounds were amazing, everything was first class - truly is a 5 star holiday, the owners Graham & Sarah could not have been more hospitable and friendly and were always on hand if you needed them for local info etc. The surrounding area is picture perfect - Bergerac market is a must and also a visit to St Emilion a magical village and swimming in Lake Jemaye. If you are thinking of booking, don't hesitate - you will not be disappointed, already looking to book our next trip back!

What a lovely place! Our party of five (mum, dad, two 'adult' children and seven year old granddaughter) thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The fridge was full of goodies when we arrived and there were fresh eggs and bread. Graham and Sarah live next door - they are friendly and easy-going and looked after us really well during our stay (without being intrusive). The house is situated in beautiful countryside but only 20 minutes from Bergerac. You can do as little or as much as you like - there are beautiful villages to explore and bustling towns with great markets. St Emilion is a must and Perigeux is well worth a visit. Or just relax by the pool. Enjoy.

We really enjoyed our time! The farmhouse was a really good standard and the views and outlook were wonderful. The weather was unseasonably wet during our stay but the the warmth of the welcome made it a great place to stay. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at Maison De Nicola.

Our family of 4 (with 2 children 12, 8) had a lovely relaxing time in this beautifully restored house whch was clean and well equipped. The kids loved playing in the pool and exploring the grounds and the adults loved the peaceful setting in the hills with great views over the valley to the forest. We would happily come again.
